Fondation Kousmine was founded in 1987 in Lutry, Switzerland. Its objective: to develop and disseminate the dietary and medical principles established by the doctor, nutritionist and researcher Catherine Kousmine.

Laboratoire NUTERGIA prepares and distributes 4 dietary supplements which comply with the approach favoured by Fondation Kousmine.

Catherine Kousmine

Born in Russia in 1904, she worked as a general practitioner in Switzerland. Convinced that post-war dietary habits shaped by manufacturing techniques had a negative impact on health, she launched herself into research in order to better understand the link between diet and well-being.

Very quickly she became interested in the quality of the oils in our diet and notably the famous polyunsaturated fatty acids, given the name vitamin F, and in the importance of vitamins and trace elements. She would also demonstrate the role of the intestine and notably that of the colon and talked of the acid-alkali equilibrium… work which is still making research headlines.
