Bacteria, viruses… Our body is constantly exposed to the microbes that are all around us. To detect, recognise and then fight and eliminate them, we are equipped with a highly developed defence system: the immune system. It is composed of thousands of cells, distributed throughout the body, like guards ready to react in case of attack.
This system can be disrupted by repeated stress, climatic conditions, fatigue, unbalanced nutrition… and our natural defences therefore become weakened. So, in order to effectively support the defence mechanisms, certain nutrients, plants and minerals should be favoured: vitamins C and D, trace elements such as zinc and magnesium, essential oils from plants with anti-microbial properties, or even lactic ferments, to protect the intestinal mucosa, the key organ in the immune defences of the body.
