ERGYPHILUS® Intima for women’s intimate comfort
ERGYPHILUS® Intima is a dietary supplement comprising a unique blend of six scientifically selected live probiotic strains and vitamin B2 for healthy mucous membranes, including the vaginal mucous membrane.
This innovative formula contains lactobacilli and bifidobacteria that have been carefully selected for their properties and are of human origin, similar to those naturally present in the vaginal flora.
This product, from the ERGYPHILUS® probiotics range, contains 16 billion bacteria per 2 capsules. To ensure maximum survival, its ability to withstand gastric acid and to adhere to target mucous membranes has been demonstrated**. Lactobacilli and bifidobacteria are beneficial bacteria that occur naturally in the flora and make up Döderlein’s flora. These probiotics play a vital role in maintaining the balance of the microbiota by creating a protective environment. The six strains selected for ERGYPHILUS® Intima work synergistically to colonise the flora and thereby maintain or restore its natural balance.
When is it recommended ?
The permeability between intestinal and urogenital microbiota is no longer in question and lactobacilli can cross from one to the other.
Lactobacillus acidophilus colonise many organisms and not just the human body! They are contained in fermented foods such as yoghurt, cheese and fermented vegetables including cabbage, or even sourdough bread. Fermented milk is widely available.
Maternal milk supplies Lactobacillus gasseri, the effects of which on intestinal and vaginal flora balance have been studied since the 1980s.
Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG has the astonishing ability to survive in the acid environments of the stomach and intestine, which they cross like nomads while restoring the balance between the various species of bacteria.
Lactobacillus fermentum is also resistant to acid attack from the stomach acid and bile. It can therefore interconnect intestinal microbiota and participate in the subtle harmony within the microbiome.

To ensure optimal intimate comfort, practise gentle hygiene using products with a suitable pH level (between 4 and 5.5). Avoid douching and wear cotton underwear. A balanced diet rich in fibre helps maintain the balance of the gut microbiota, which has a positive effect on vaginal flora.
Keep stress to a minimum, as it can disrupt your hormonal balance and flora. Probiotic supplements are particularly recommended when taking antibiotics or antifungal treatments.
